Entryway Re-Do ~ Part I ~ Ripping up the carpet

I had 40,000 photos to do our staircase reveal, but it looked like this was going to be a monster-long blog post, so I'm splitting things up.

Keith's Dad & Brian came over to help pull out the carpet, Parker got in on the action too (May 16th):

We were hoping to find hardwoods under the carpet, but no such luck, the treads are made with OSB, a construction-grade particle-board sort of nastiness (May 17th):

Over Memorial Day weekend, we sent the kids to the cabin with Denise and painted the entryway (May 25th) - More pictures here:
