Halloween

We finally got around to pumpkin carving on Halloween morning.

Why have I never used power tools to carve pumpkins before?  It's brilliant!

Cecily's is a tiara, Parker's is "my new 2-wheeler scooter"

Mid-way through the day, Cecily changed her clothes and decided she wanted to wear this for trick-or-treating, but informed us that "You can still call me Elsa"

Eventually she changed back into her Elsa dress.

Our plan was to stop by Doug & Kelly's to say "Hi" and then go to a different neighborhood to trick-or-treat.  But once we got there, we decided their neighborhood would do just fine.

I thought they'd be nervous, but after the first house, they totally got it.

Swanson's

I forgot all about the Swanson's Hay maze, but we managed to get a trip in just before Halloween.

I couldn't get the boys & girls in at the same time!

Thanks for the t-shirt Papa!

My Dad just got back from a cruise through the Panama Canal, so the kids got new t-shirts of the canal.

Cecily wasn't really in the mood for a photo.

School harvest party

School Picture Day!

I take both kids to school at 9am, Parker's class was going in for photos at 2pm, so I thought I should take some "before" photos, because goodness knows what he'd look like 5 hours later!

He picked out his own outfit.  I did insist on his sneakers rather than his "work shoes" which he can barely walk in let alone run.

Sickies

Parker woke up sick to his stomach, so he spent most of the morning sleeping.

Cecily spent most of the morning pretending to sleep.

By 1pm, he was up & around and eating us out of house & home while Cecily slept the whole afternoon.

Cecily's Wardrobe

The rule in our house is, if you have an accident, mama gets to pick out your outfit. This is the TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NOT FANCY ENOUGH outfit I picked out. I am the WORST Mama EVER!

Parker's Artwork ~ Family Photo

...Mama looks kind of cranky.

Cecily's New shoes

We've been in a constant battle between Cecily's feet, Cecily's opinions, & Cecily's enormous shoe collection.

So, we went to Nordstrom to have her pick out one pair to replace all her old shoes.

I tried to push her towards the sparkly sneakers, but she chose the "princess boots like Gracie's"

They're actually pretty awesome, turns out they go with everything, and she can always put them on herself.

Bowling

Everyone was getting a little squirrely, so we went down to the bowling alley.

I'm not sure it was worth the cost since Cecily looked like this the entire time:

You try bowling with TWO children hanging on you the entire time.

But, Parker & Jared had a good time.

But, I did narrowly beat out the 3-year-old, so there's that.

Darcy has a rough life...

That would be three blankets, if you're counting.

We're ready for the first day of MOPS!

Good thing we bought her that fancy new bed

Reading

Parker loves reading to Cecily.  He has many of the books memorized, so he's actually doing a decent job of "reading"

Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

We had our Fall Fest for church at Craven Farms in Snohomish.

These photos do not do justice to the amount of rain falling down.  Just imagine you're standing in the shower with the water on full blast...it was like that only wetter and colder.

But the kids didn't care, they had a great time.

Actually, Cecily enjoyed it notably more than last year.
