Shrimp

Cecily was melting down, so she ended up in the backpack to calm down.  But then, Parker wanted to help me make dinner and Cecily wanted to help too.  So, we ended up with shrimp skewers in the backpack.

Kiddos

Doughnuts

I bought a doughnut maker machine a few months ago, we decided it was time to try it out.

Monopoly

Parker found a Monopoly board in the Motorhome and now he's obsessed with it.  This game might never end:

We started on Monday, continued on Tuesday:

...still going strong on Friday:

Parker's hat

My dad gave Parker this hat, it's way too big for him, but nonetheless, he's worn it every day since he got it.

We wouldn't let them have a slumber party so...

The largest ship to ever go through the Locks

We heard about the "largest ship ever" to go through the Ballard Locks Wednesday afternoon, so we headed down.  We started at the Totem House to get Red Mill burgers (it's still weird to not just get fish & chips there) and headed over to the park.

It was pretty enormous.

I'll admit, it wasn't quite as impressive as the 2-feet-of-clearance I was hoping to see, but it was still pretty impressive.

She's reading to Heartie

...also, it's just a matter of time before her reading skills surpass Parker's

Bring on SUMMER!

You know it's a good day when you have to wash your feet at the end of the day.

1st day of summer break!

The first day of summer calls for doughnuts!

I'm determined to keep Parker reading over the summer, so I'm implementing 20 minutes of reading and 20 minutes of worksheets every day.  We'll see how long it lasts.

Cecily made lunch for both of them.

12th Anniversary!

Denise took the kids for the evening so we could go out.  She also gave us a coupon for a free wine tasting, here's my super-awesome selfie from there:

We ended up on the Kirkland waterfront for dinner, it was a beautiful evening and an amazing dinner.

For our Anniversary, I bought Keith an ageing cask, and he bought me my favorite rum.  Apparently year 12 is the year of booze.

Biking to the Farmer's Market

The kids LOVE going to the Farmer's Market.  The market gives them each $2 to spend on veggies, and if we ride bikes, they get an extra $1, so they're always eager to bike.

Last day beach party

We met a group of friends at the beach to celebrate the last day of school.  The weather was a little iffy, but it was nice enough to spend nearly the whole afternoon at the beach.

Cecily's last day of Kindergarten

Heidi is so popular, we tried several times to get a photo of just the two of them, but it was impossible because every girl on the playground wanted to be in the photos.

Cecily made so many great friends this year, I'm excited for her to get to know these girls more over the next few years.

After two years straight with Mrs. Holmes, I'm not sure how we'll survive next year!  What an amazing teacher, she's been such a blessing for both kid's first years.

As far as I can tell, there's only one boy that Cecily is willing to play with.  These two have been great buddies this year.

Elsa is Heidi's daughter and Cecily is in love with her!

Cecily looks like she could be a member of their family!
