Camping

The kids decided they wanted to have a slumber party out on the playstructure.

We figured they'd last 10 minutes and then come inside.  Finally, around 9:30 I made Keith go bring them back inside before they actually fell asleep outside and we'd have to deal with them asleep.

I think if left alone a little longer they would have actually slept out there.

When Keith went to get them Parker said excitedly, "Daddy! We saw a creature!"  "Really, what kind of creature?"  From Cecily "Was it a Aye-Aye?" (because naturally, her first guess would be a primate from Madagascar).  "No"
Keith: "Was it a squirrel?"
Parker: "No"
Keith: "Was it a rat?"
Parker: "Yeah, maybe a rat."
Mama: Okay, everyone inside!

Cleaning

We were having a rough, cranky afternoon.  So, I gave each kid a Norwex cloth and made them clean until it was time for Fiona to go home.

They actually got into it and did a decent job.

Adventures

Parker's a pilot. He's on the "plane" yelling "Who wants to go to Whoo-aaii?"

We went to see Charlie Brown at the $1 movies

Cecily's place of honor at the zoo.

We went to the YMCA mid-summer bash.  The kids especially enjoyed the giant popsicles and watching the water balloon toss.

Visit to the Burwashes

Our friends recently moved up to Samish Island, in Skagit Valley.  We miss seeing them all the time, so Joy & I loaded up the minivan and headed up to see them for the day.

Everyone is excited to go! (Except Cecily who wanted to do an "angry face" for the photo)

One of Parker's favorite parts of visiting Cameron is their amazing music room.  The kids had a blast rocking out in the basement.

How many kids can you fit in a baby pool?

Cleaning

I wanted to see if my fancy new mop would clean the glass railings, so Cecily wanted to help out.

Krispy Kreme

I had to get a rock chip repaired on my van, so I took the kids to Krispy Kreme when we were done.

KHS BBQ

We went to the King's Alumni BBQ again this year.  The kids had a great time with the bouncy house, but their favorite part this time was the face painting.

Shoreline Farmer's Market

Parker LOVES taking his bike to the Shoreline Farmer's Market

They give each kid $2 to spend on produce and they get a special treat if they find "Broc" the stuffed broccoli.

Even with this, Cecily was in a a foul mood.

Parker loves playing the corn-hole game.  Cecily didn't want to play, so she chose to prevent anyone else from playing too.  ...amazingly she didn't get hit with a beanbag, but she would have had it coming.

Parker's Artwork

Front: Family Photo
(Notice how Keith, Parker, & Darcy all have mohawks and I am 3 times as big as anyone else)

Back: A drawing of our backyard (it's the fence & grass)

This is how you dress for lunch, right?

Bike Picnic

Parker has been begging to take our bikes over to Echo Lake park for a dinner picnic, so we had a free night and headed over.

You'll notice that Cecily has a tiara on top of her helmet.

Parker rode his bike the whole way there, he did great.

Beach Day

We met some friends out at Picnic Point beach, Cecily helped me carry the blanket back to the car.
