Brian & Sandi came up for the weekend to show the family their fantastic wedding & honeymoon photos and tell us all how great marriage is (preachin' to the choir on that one, we love marriage here).
We hosted a barbecue and had the whole family over.
Sangria in one hand, bubble wand in the other, looks like summer.
It was our plan to have the entire event outside, so I was none too excited to wake up to grey skies & not-really-warm weather. But the sun showed up about 10 minutes prior to our guests, so it turned out to be a great evening on the deck.
Brian & Sandi showed off their wedding photos as well as photos from their honeymoon. Brian (who does work in IT after all), somehow managed to hook up the computer to the TV so we could all watch at the same time.
After dinner, there was a rousing game of soccer.
It was team Kruger/Need vs. Kruger/Need (which, I suppose goes without saying, since all but one person present was either a Kruger or a Need).
When not playing soccer, Kyla was in the corner of our yard making "soup". I imagine she found plenty to work with, that corner is kind of where we dump all the branches we don't know what to do with.
After the soccer game, we headed to the front yard to ride bikes up & down the driveway.
Just about everyone got a chance at trying out Keith's aeroplane pushing handle.
It's a race, it's a race!
Another cute photo of the newlyweds. Just don't look too closely. Denise & I both took this photo at the same time. If you look at hers, you can clearly see that both Brian & Sandi are looking at me. And yet, in my photo, I somehow only have the attention of Sandi. Sorry guys! I guess it's hard sometimes to keep track of all the paparazzi.
Dwayne & I were selling Brian & Sandi on the wonders of cruising for their next vacation. Here, Dwayne is describing the difference between the minuscule closet Keith & I stayed in and the palatial suite he & Denise shared.
Great party, everyone!
