Paint the House Week - Kitchen

And we got the curtains back up last night.  These valances were originally drapes in our old house.  The fabric cost a fortune, so I've been wanting to use it somewhere, but I didn't get around do it when we first moved in, then we had a baby and things got a little crazy.  Finally, a few weeks ago, I found a few minutes to put the valances together.  They aren't hard (about three seams each), but those pleats are time-consuming.

But they go really well with our new yellow walls.  I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the new color (which I love) or about just being rid of that awful turquoise color.
