One more early release adventure

Since neither kid was going to the pumpkin patch with school this year, and we couldn't make the church one, I decided to take the kids to the Pumpkin Patch on Thursday of Parent/Teacher conference week.

We were actually able to get several families to join us and we had a great time.

We went to the Farm at Swan's Trail, which is where ALL THE SCHOOLS go for fieldtrips.  But, they're done with fieldtrips by 2pm, so we pretty much had the place to ourselves for the afternoon.

The kids had a blast in the corn pits, went down the slide, watched the pig show, saw the duck races, and picked out pumpkins.  AND, we got out of there for just over $20 (including 4 pumpkins) which is a whole lot cheaper than any other pumpkin patch we've been to.

When we got home, the kids were worried that the squirrels would eat our pumpkins, so now we have this lovely display in our front yard:

I think we wore them out.
