This is one of my favorite days of the year, I love having the kids home and heading downtown for a Christmas-y adventure.
We started at the gingerbread houses at the Sheraton/City Center, but Cecily was having so much drama about her broken candy cane, I didn't get any photos. Then, we headed over to the Fairmont Olympic to see the Teddy Bear Suite, they have changed up their lobby, and this year they have a life-sized gingerbread house.
Last year, this ballroom was Cecily's favorite part of the day. But...last year, the carpet was pink, this year the carpet was blue and for some reason it made the room feel too big for her and she was freaking out "This is the only thing I was looking forward to and it's TOO BIG!" (Drama much, little one?)
They did manage to have a good time fighting over the throne.
Doesn't she look like she's straight out of the Nutcracker here:
We rode the carousel...
...then took the monorail to the centerhouse to see the trains.
Unfortunately, the trains weren't working, so the kids were pretty disappointed (plus, Cecily was super mad that we didn't go to the Children's museum ignoring the fact that: 1. That kid's museum is super lame, 2. We never intended to go to the kid's museum, and 3. it was closed anyway)
