Cabin Visit

The people who bought the cabin invited Dad up for a visit, so we tagged along to see how it had changed.

They moved the cabin a few hundred yards down the road, and turned it slightly.

They added giant concrete decks on either side with wire railings.

If you were standing directly in-front of our cabin (previously), this would be the view if you looked to your right:

The view from the empty lot formerly known as our lot.

Looking at the new location out of what would have previously been our living room window.

My old bedroom is one of the few rooms that hasn't changed much:

The room formerly known as the laundry/mud room:

The bunk room hasn't changed much:

In the basement, they added a HUGE mud room, two work spaces, a bedroom, and a bathroom & sauna.

Upstairs:

They re-did all the finishings and made the bathtub slightly smaller to accommodate a larger shower.

It was fun to head up there and see all the changes.  Some parts of it were completely different and unrecognizable, but then we'd see a random lamp or fixture that Mom had found at a garage sale still on display.

The kids had a great time, but they were wiped out by the time we left!
