The 4th of July was on the weekend this year, so we grabbed a bunch of friends and headed out to some campground south of Olympia. (I'm sure it had a name, but we referred to it as "the place that still had open spots")
There was a river along the edge of the campground, and we spent most of our free time there.
There was a nice shallow place where the kids could swim and Parker practiced his casting.
...and eventually, the kids even fell asleep:
We all had a great time, and we were very tired going home
