The nursery is ready!

Our plan for Memorial Day Weekend was to paint the nursery.  Of course, since we're boarder-line delusional, our actual plan was to paint the nursery Saturday morning and early afternoon and then spend the rest of the weekend playing.
Reality is not our friend, but we did finish around 3:30 on Monday.
Of course, I wasn't just content to paint the room one color (in which case we WOULD have finished by Saturday afternoon).

I wasn't even content with two colors...  No, baby needs a tri-color bedroom.

Which could explain why it took us all weekend.  That and the fact that it was cold and nasty outside so each coat took several hours to dry.  But it's finished:

The perfectionist in me thinks it could still use some work (the tape wouldn't stick to new paint, so the stripes were all painted free-hand).  But the tired pregnant lady in me says it's good enough.

And, the new focal point of the room (at least until baby comes) should be enough to draw the eye away from the multiple drips:

I will admit a bit of pride on this wall, it turned out just as I'd hoped.  Just in-case you're wondering, that's not just any bike, it's a Cannondale 21-speed road bike, just like Daddy's.

While we were waiting for one of the coats to dry, I found time for a trip to JoAnne's and made the curtains as well:

Now all we're missing is a crib, a glider...oh, right, and baby.
