Slurpee Day!

It's international Slurpee day (7/11), so we walked to 7-11 for our free slurpee.

Somehow in the chaos of getting three kids in & out of 7-11 without spilling slurpee on the floor, I didn't get one.  Oh well.

After getting slurpees, we walked up to school to play on the playground with some school friends.

This is their preferred method of walking home from school:

We had VBS in the morning, hence Parker & Fiona's matching shirts.  Cecily has yet to wear hers.

Keith's phone is where photos go to die

So...

Easter:

Mexico (the time in April):

What these photos do not show is how HOT, TIRED, and MELTED these children were.  From here you'd think they enjoyed their trip to town.

Spray Park

It's not really all that hot out, but the kids wanted to go to the spray park and we've been gone for the past week, so spray park, here we come!

Cruise ~ Day 7 ~ One more day at sea before we head home.

By day 7 we've pretty much reached our saturation point for sunshine and drunk people (and it was a little cold out), so we spent the bulk of the day right here:

One last night in the dining room, with our waiter Ikomang.
Did you know that in Bali they only have four first names and they give them in-order, so by the time you have your 5th child you start over again.  Men's names start with "I" and women start with "Ni", so you could have an IKomang and a NiKomang in the same family.  Then, each child is given a different last name, but most people are known by their first name (or a nick-name) so there can be a lot of confusion with names. Fascinating, no?

Cruise ~ Day 6 ~ Fun Day At Sea

W did almost literally nothing this day but sit by the pool and read books.  But we did fit in a round of mini-golf, mostly for Parker's benefit.

They serve afternoon tea in the dining room on the at-sea days.  We only made it one day, but it was a nice break from the sunshine.

Cruise ~ Day 5 ~ Puerto Vallarta

Seeing how we were just in Puerto Vallarta a few months ago, we didn't need any big adventure.  So, we took a bus to town and spent most of the morning sitting on the beach.  Afterwards, we wandered through town.

We got back to the boat around 3 and we didn't set sail until 8pm, but we'd had enough town time, so we spent several hours sitting on our deck reading books.  It was delightful.
