Boxing Day

Parker woke up feeling way better.

In the afternoon we headed over to Target so the kids could spend their Christmas money that was clearly burning a hole in their pocket.

Christmas not to plan

Parker woke up Christmas morning with a slight fever.  He was okay, but when he ran out of steam half-way through opening presents we knew he wasn't feeling well.

So, rather than spending the afternoon at the Need's, we had a quiet afternoon at home.

Cecily didn't hate it.

Parker missed most of it.

We finally realized that he wasn't going to be better enough to go for dinner, so Keith & Cecily headed over to Woodinville and the two of us hung out at home.

Parker went to sleep and I had left-over Christmas Eve pizza and watched White Christmas.  All told, it wasn't too bad as Christmases go.

Christmas Break

It's finally time for Christmas break!

Cecily opened a spa and painted my fingernails.

Small Group Christmas

Our small group went caroling at the Retirement Community where Jake works.  After the singing, the kids went around the room reading to the residents.

The next day, we went to the Lilliness' for dinner and white elephant exchange.

We went to the Tiny Zoo to see the reindeer and take photos in the North Pole Yurt.

Zoo lights

We met the Hawkins at the zoo to see all the Zoolights.  The weather was perfect and we had a great time.

They add onto the lights every year and there are so many lights now we barely made it to everything before we all ran out steam.

Christmas Bokeh

Christmas is the perfect time to try out my Bokeh filter.

Unfortunately, I can only really take photos with this snowman dude, since it's nearly impossible to get the children to sit still long enough to get it to work.
