Reason #598 Cecily is yelling at me.
Parker was sick last night so I had to reschedule their dentist appointment from today to next month. "I WANTED TO GO TODAY!!" ðŸ˜ðŸ˜«
Children are strange creatures, but at least she likes the dentist!

Everett Aqua Sox
We took the kids to see Aqua Sox.
The weather was amazing and we had a great time.
With that said, we left about the 7th inning and the Sox were loosing by about 17 runs. The other team got 5 home runs in a one inning, not a great showing.

First day of Summer Break!
It's finally summer!!! So, we're celebrating with a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese
My memory of Chuck-E-Cheese is ball pits & pizza, but apparently, these days it's all about the video games. I bought each of the kids an hour of unlimited play.
We ended up with approximately 578,468,115 tickets, which were just about enough for 3 bags of cotton candy and four lollipops.

After a weeks snow-delay, we finally made it to the last day of school!

Family Drawings
I was walking down the hallway at school and saw Parker's drawing of our family. Interestingly enough, there are 6 people in our family. "Parker, who are all these people in our family drawing?" "It's Papa, Kathy, Mama, Daddy, Parker, & Cecily"
...well, you're just adorable young sir.

Happy Father's Day
Since we had a free Saturday, I gave Keith his Father's Day gift (a Museum of Flight membership) a day early, and we headed down to to use it.
After her nap in the car on the way down, Cecily was in a pretty good mood.
Happy Father's Day Keith! Maybe some day you can go by yourself so you can actually look at the displays.

We love our baseball team so very much
We have hit the jackpot when it comes to baseball teams, both for the kids and the parents.
To celebrate the end of the season, we had a great party at one of the player's houses, it was such a great time.
Once the sun went down, they set-up a movie outside for the boys (and little sisters) while the grown-ups had a great time hanging out on the porch.
Then most of the boys (and Cecily) stayed for a sleep-over. They had a BLAST and stayed up way too late. The next day, for some reason, there was a flurry of texts among the parents that looked remarkably like these:
I can't even remember the last time Parker fell asleep in the car.
2nd Grade Field Day
I volunteered to help out with the 2nd Grade Field Day at Carkeek Park. Of course, after a whole week of temperatures in the 80's, this is the day that the sun went into hiding and it was 65-degrees out. Good thing every single activity involved getting the kids wet...oh well.

Highland Terrace Talent Show
Several months ago, Parker started talking about his band that he was part of with his friend Levi. Weeks later, he comes home with the flyer about the school talent show informing me that he and Levi were going to perform in the Talent Show. We had a conversation something like this:
Parker: Levi & Me are doing the talent show
Me: The School talent show?
Parker: Yea
Me: You want me to fill out this permission slip? You're actually going to do the talent show?
P: Uh huh
M: What are you doing?!?!
P: Levi is singing and I'm dancing
M: For real?!? Have you practiced?
P: Yup
M: Okay, whatever.
So, with absolutely no input on my part, I present you, Parker and Levi in the Highland Terrace talent show.
It was HILARIOUS! They brought the house down.

New Restaurant
We've been waiting years for a good restaurant in Shoreline. Recently, a developer has been making-over a closed casino on Aurora to make it a restaurant/comedy/concert venue. We were excited to try it out.

K-2 End of year concert
We have to sit behind all 400+ elementary schoolers, so the view is garbage, but they're up there somewhere.
