Keith took a few days off and we drove down to visit Jeff & Katie.
We got through Portland and noticed that the breaks seemed kind of wobbly. Seeing how we still had over an hour of driving, and we were driving in heavy traffic going 60+mph, we decided to stop at the Les Schwab in Lake Oswego.
It was approximately a billion degrees out, but the kids were surprisingly cool with it. The Les Schwab people were also pretty cool, told us we were safe for the trip down and sent us on our way for free.
For the first time ever, we got Keith to go blueberry picking.
The kids had a great time, and we even got a few berries in the buckets.
We picked over 17 lbs of berries!
We went for a mini-hike near their house, Cecily was a trooper and actually made it all the way up the mountain.
The last day, we went to Newport for the day. We went crabbing out on the jetty and went to play on the beach.
We didn't think we'd be there long, so we didn't have the kids put their swimsuits on. But amazingly, the weather was incredible, so we just let the kids roll-around in the water fully clothed.
