Happy Halloween!

I was actually able to make it to the Halloween Parties for both Parker & Cecily on Halloween.

I started with Cecily's class:

They do a combined party for all the Kinders, it's pretty fun with craft & activity stations.

Once she went out to recess, I headed over to Parker's class for the party & costume parade.

Not sure how I missed the sun flare in EVERY SINGLE one of my class photos, whatever...

I helped out with the craft until the parade came through the class.

Cecily's was the first class to come through, where I see my little girl...

...wearing a t-shirt and leggings, not sure what happened to her costume...

I was Dr. F.N. Hamilton.

We're ready for trick-or-treating!

We went to Samuel's house and had dinner together, then headed out in his neighborhood for trick-or-treating.

Cecily was done about half-way through, so I just kept telling her to eat candy and keep walking.

Eventually, they were all ready for a candy break and then we headed home.

I think we ran into or visited the houses of about half Parker's classmates on the trip, it was a fun adventure.

Pumpkin Carving 2.0

Keith & I hadn't carved pumpkins, and we didn't get any pumpkin seeds, so I got a few more pumpkins and we carved for the family.

"Mama, can I put my head in the pumpkin?" 

...apparently so.

Cecily made a design for hers and I carved it:

We got a new motion sensor light in the front yard, it's awesome, but it makes it tricky to take jack-o-lantern photos!

Parker asked "Mama, can we take a selfie with our pumpkins?"

...apparently not.

Pumpkin Carving

Parker's class had a pumpkin carving get-together, so we headed to school to carve pumpkins.

Pumpkin Patch!

I got to go on my first-ever Pumpkin Patch field trip!

The weather turned out amazingly, by the end I was carrying about three kid's coats.

Go Sounders!

My High School Alumni Association was doing a Sounders night, so we bought tickets for all of us.

We (or I, at least) haven't been to a Sounder's Game since Parker was a baby.  It took forever to get downtown and find parking, but that aside, we had a great time.

Cecily didn't care so much, but she did enjoy the hot dog & pretzel.

Day Off!

The kids had Friday off for Parent/Teacher conferences, so we went downtown to have lunch with Keith.

We waited until Jared got off work, so we didn't get downtown until about 2, so we stole Keith from work and went to the downtown retail section and had lunch at the Yard House.

After lunch we wandered around downtown & went shopping, it was a really fun afternoon.  I really do enjoy no-school days.

Halloween Preview

Cecily got a cloak, so Parker needed a cloak...

This is how everyone picks their movie, right?

Of course, I don't know why we bother, since we always end up watching whatever Cecily wants since she's the loudest screamer.
