Happy Halloween!

I helped with Parker's Halloween party at school.

There were 5 Spidermans (Spidermen?) in Parker's class.  Technically, Parker is Miles Morales, but it's pretty hard to tell when he's in Spidey form.

If you can't tell, he's the one on the left.

We went trick-or-treating with Samuel & Friends this year.

We had a blast and the kids raked it in.  We again had to use candy to bribe Cecily to keep at it for the last 15 minutes or so, but she made a pretty good haul, so I think she found it worthwhile.

Pumpkin Carving

I was super lame this year, so we bought the literal two last pumpkins for sale at Central Market.

We got a new dishwasher!

I've been wanting a new dishwasher for FOREVER (like, from two weeks after we bought the house).  We finally went for it, so I got up at 5 am to get in line for the Albert Lee warehouse sale.  I was one of the first hundred or so people in the door and I managed to find the very last Miele dishwasher they had available.

I got it home and we started dismantling the kitchen.

After spending all morning removing the old dishwasher, then all afternoon installing the new dishwasher, we plugged in my new toy and nothing...

It didn't work.  So, for the next three weeks, check out our new dishwasher:

Eventually, we sorted it out with Miele, and we got a brand-new whatever the broken piece was and we have a fancy new dishwasher.  Miele and Albert Lee were actually both amazing, and Albert Lee gave us a free extended warranty to make sure that the dishwasher works for us for a good long time.

School Picture Day

I like to take photos of the kids before school on picture day, just to compare how they look when I leave them, to how they ended up by the time photos were taken.

Unfortunately, in Cecily's case, she didn't change much.  I wasn't expecting that headband to stay on the whole day, but whatever.

Bellevue Children's Museum Fundraiser

Now that we're important business owners, we have to go to big fundraiser parties because we're such famous philanthropists.

Okay, we went because the company had extra tickets and we didn't have any plans.

It was a really fun evening.  They had a carnival theme so we played games and ate great food, it was a pretty fun free date night.

Flu Shot Adventure

We got our flu shots, so therefore we deserve an adventure at the tiny zoo and a cookie the size of our heads.

Lost Tooth #1

Cecily finally lost her first tooth!
