Birthday dessert with Papa & Kathy

Dad & Kathy brought us dessert and birthday presents for the kids.  Along with two of the fancy spinning/singing candles.  It was a pretty exciting evening.

The Hot Tub is in!

It took 4 guys two days, a moving trailer, 2 electricians, and approximately 14,000 man-hours for Keith & Me, but the hot tub is finally in and working!!

Of course, in these photos, the water's not actually hot, but the kids don't care.

End of Summer

Parker didn't want to pick out his clothes today, so he let Cecily do it.  He's wearing a long-sleeved shirt under the sweater and it's going to be 80+ out today, whatever.

Happy Birthday Parker!

When it's your birthday, you get to decide the plan, so MoPop and Mod Pizza it is.

Parker LOVES this place.  Because she can't do it perfectly on her first try, Cecily hates this part.

She, however, loved the fashion section so much, we went through it twice.  Parker, on the other hand, was so freaked out by the mannequins, he had to bail out early.  Children are weird.

Evergreen State Fair

Time for our annual Fair Day!

We saw animals and stuff, but let's be honest, all the kids care about is the rides.

Seattle Center & Children's Museum

This was our first week without plans for most of the summer, so the kids wanted to head down to the Seattle Children's Museum.  I think we were originally headed to the Science Center, but we ended up at the Children's Museum.

The kids packed their own lunches.  Cecily brought a rice cake/butter sandwich, and a can of pineapple chunks.

Last $1 movie of the summer

Yes, those are headphones around my neck. We saw Minions, which is a garbage movie, so I listened to a podcast.  Don't judge me, the lady in front of me was on her laptop the entire movie.

Rainy Day Swim lessons

I never got this excited to go to the dentist.

Jetty Island Trip

I organized our annual trip to Jetty Island.  I had extra tickets, so Dad, Kathy, & Jared joined us on the trip.

The weather was great and the kids had a blast.  That's Parker in the foreground, all those tiny people in the background are part of our group too...probably.

Spaghetti Factory

We took the kids on their first trip to the Spaghetti Factory.  Cecily LOVED the fancy chairs.

Parker's Birthday Party - Yard Sports Party

Parker wanted a yard sports party, so we set-up the corn hole, King Kub, and Molokky games and released the boys on the backyard.

They then proceeded to have nearly the exact same food as Cecily's party the day before.

Cecily's Birthday Party - It's a Sword-fight Party!

Cecily wanted to have a sword fighting birthday party.  Not a pirate party, or a medieval party, just straight-up sword fighting.

We had sword fights, we jumped on the trampolines, we played pin the heart on the bear, and we had cupcakes.  Quite an afternoon.

Somehow I managed to keep the tattoos off everyone's faces, except for Cecily's.
