Cecily's new Cloak
We were walking to school on Monday and Cecily refused to put her coat on, but instead just hung it from her head. I looked at her and said, "I bet you'd enjoy a cape, wouldn't you?"
So, after school, we headed to the fabric store, and a few hours later, we had this:
I think she likes it.
...I will be getting pink fuzz out of my nose forever.

Football
I told the kids that they could watch the football game as soon as they cleaned their rooms.
They then spent the next 2 hours peacefully playing in their bedrooms.
Amazingly, Parker didn't throw a fit when the game was over & his room was still a mess.
Either way, I got a peaceful Sunday afternoon.

Fire Station Open House
The Shoreline Fire Department hosts an open house every fall, it is a great time to see the trucks, meet fire fighters and try out the water hose. The kids (and Keith) LOVE it.
Check out Parker nearly soaking the Chief.

Ready for school, again
It's 8:05am, I came out of my room to find them like this:
Now all you're missing is a little Nutella...
Fire Truck!
Fire Fighter Michelle came to visit Cecily's class. It was pretty exciting and we've been hearing about fire safety and "Fire Fighter Michelle says..." for days.

Sassy
Cecily found my reading glasses & has been wearing them around.
These things hurt my eyes, I can't imagine she can see anything with them on, but she's cute.

Cecily's First Day of School
It's finally here!
...of course, we're just walking Parker to school at this point. Kindergartners have a half-day on the first day and Cecily is in the afternoon class.
Last year, I took Parker out for lunch after his first day of school, I talked this us a lot with Cecily to help her get excited about the first day. Then discovered that she's in the afternoon session (apparently her class has a lot of last names in the A-I group). So, we went our for lunch before school.
First day of school, no big deal.
