Foot bath

Cecily is obsessed with baths.  Since I wasn't interested in giving her a bath in the middle of Sunday afternoon, she asked for a foot bath.

Of course, 10 minutes later, she was naked & sitting in that tiny bucket taking a bath.

Blue Friday

We finally finished off the Halloween candy...

I know the football season is over, but Parker just got his Russel Wilson jersey, so we're still celebrating "Blue Friday" in this house.

CPL Holiday Party

The CPL holiday party was at the Edgewater Hotel this year.  I mentioned in-passing to a friend that we'd be staying there the night of the party, and she immediately shot a text off to her friend who works there.  We arrived to discover that we'd been upgraded from our least-expensive-room-in-the-hotel room to a King Waterfront suite.  It was AMAZING!  We spent most of the (cold & rainy) afternoon sitting by our private fireplace reading books.

...except for when we wandered downstairs for drinks & appetizers.

Jammies

She wouldn't be caught dead in this outfit during the daytime, but apparently, it's totally reasonable for bedtime.

I hate January...

I tried to take the kids to the gym, but the parking lot was full.  So, we ended up at a nearby park & I let them exercise for me.  I'll be happy once they new-years-resolutions have worn off and the gym is a little less busy!

Ballet Class

We signed Cecily up for the 3-4 year-old ballet class at the Rec Center.  She LOVES it!

Ask her about it and she'll tell you (in great detail) about everything she's learning, and then give you a little demonstration.

Cecily's baby

Cecily got this tiny unicorn from Fiona for Christmas, she LOVES it and Uni is just the right size to take everywhere.  But sometimes, she's a bit much to carry around, and that's when you need your baby Boba-baby carrier.

Girl's weekend

We joined a small group at church about a year ago, and this weekend the ladies took off for a night downtown.

We got there early & wandered around Pike Place & even left our mark on the gum wall.

Cecily

Cecily has been refusing pony tails for a few months now, so I had to take a photo when she finally let me do some.  Of course, they were out before she left the room.

Keith & Parker went to a worship event at Church.  It ended too late, and Cecily doesn't seem to like Church singing, so she& I went on a date for doughnuts.

It was a little quiet downstairs...

Cecily's friend came over for the afternoon.  At one point, I remember thinking, "It's pretty quiet down there, but I'm going to let it go..."

Soon they came up looking like this:

Cecily informed me that they "We did it to look scary to scare the wolves" ...thank you "Wild Kratts"

These two girls are going to be TROUBLE when they get older!

It's a white-out!

We came home from church and there was a teeny-tiny bit of snow, so time to try out Parker's new all-terrain RC Car.

...or catch snowflakes on your tongue.

Santa Photos

I finally got around to uploading the photos from Keith's company party.  I could back-date them, but I think we're late enough no one would ever find them!

This may be the closest our kids ever get to sitting on Santa's lap.

The deconstruction of the gingerbread house

Cecily has been asking to eat the gingerbread house every day since we made it a month ago, so we finally let them go at it.

It nearly took a chisel to get the candy off, and then we broke it up using a meat mallet.  They didn't actually eat much of the cookie part, but they did get in a fair amount of sugar before we finally threw the whole thing away.

It's cold

We went to the park this morning and this is what Cecily elected to wear.

"I don't care if it's 40-degrees out, I will NOT wear a coat."

(She did eventually, but only after her fingers were nearly blue)
