Sweet Potato & Quinoia

As long as she can pick it up herself or suck it out of a pouch, it would appear that this little girl will eat about anything so far.

Bonus points for getting it behind her ear.

She Smiles!

After six months of screaming, Cecily has started smiling.  And now she does it all the time.

She just about comes out of her skin laughing & smiling when she sees her Daddy or big Brother.

Snow!

We had a freak late-March snow storm on Friday.
Storm is a bit of an exaggeration, since we accumulated about 1/4", and only on the table on the back deck.

Nonetheless, Parker & I went out to "play" in the "snow".

We've all been sick & stuck at home for weeks, so I really think he was just excited to be out of the house.

Mama's new toy

I really hate cleaning the house, and with all the pine trees around, it seems like our floors always look like a disaster area.  So, to take a little of the pressure off me, we decided to go ahead & buy a Roomba (robotic vacuum).

I set Roomba up to clean the kitchen dining area and Parker and the rocking horse wanted to watch.

Parker is equal parts fascinated and terrified by the Roomba.  He loves watching it, but he just doesn't want it getting anywhere near him.

Which is an improvement over his reaction to the regular vacuum cleaner, which is to run screaming.

Pack-Pack

Parker has always loved the backpack and he is constantly asking to be carried in it.  Up until recently, I'd indulge him, but he's gotten too big for my back.  So, he's found a new way to play with the backpack:

He even has a passenger.

She eats!

I've never been a fan of these little food pouches.  I think they're horribly wasteful (half the product for twice the price with 3-times the packaging, sign me up!), and it's easy enough to make my own baby food.

But, Cecily so far has refused to eat any of the baby food I've made.  I remembered that a friend from my first MOPS table had a baby much like Cecily and she would only eat purees out of these little pouches.  So, I thought I'd give it a try.  Of course, Miss Independent loves them.  It's still pretty messy, but she can feed herself semi-independently.

I found these washable, reuseable, pouches online, so I'm looking forward to trying them out when they come.
