Calligraphy

I've been wanting to learn how to do the fancy "modern" calligraphy that is everywhere, so when my friend told me about a class in Wallingford, I went ahead & signed up.

I'm pretty sure it is not my gifting, but it was fun and I'm better than I was when I started, but still not very good.

I convinced my friend Kim to join me too.

Gracie gave Cecily a decorate-your-own jewelry box, so she spent the afternoon painting.

I'm working on our photo album, so I'm finally catching up on documenting Parker's artwork.  All these are from last year:

Parker and his "team":

Every afternoon, they would build a big set with the blocks, then teacher Jo would have to take a picture for their album.

Do you like how he drew me as a small dog?  Lovely...

I find it hilarious that Anya made it onto Parker's Friends sheet, I don't think I saw him play with her once the entire year!

Cell-Phone Retrospective

I got a new phone around Christmas, which is nice, since it takes way better photos than my old one, but it does mean that I'm just that much less likely to pull out the real camera for anything.  Which means, that my photos continue to rot on my phone.  So, here are a few from December:

12/5 - We had some friends over for the morning and we did a craft project.

We made these angels back when I was in Kindergarten and my Mom kept it on the tree until I was in college, I don't think I'll be that devoted.

It only took about a week for all the glitter glue to dry!

12/16 - A trip to Swanson's.  I think we only went three or four times this year.

12/19: I'm a super hero.

12/23: We met Cousin Sarah at Swanson's too
