Christmas Break

It's finally time for Christmas break!

Cecily opened a spa and painted my fingernails.

First day of Summer Break!

It's finally summer!!!  So, we're celebrating with a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese

My memory of Chuck-E-Cheese is ball pits & pizza, but apparently, these days it's all about the video games.  I bought each of the kids an hour of unlimited play.

We ended up with approximately 578,468,115 tickets, which were just about enough for 3 bags of cotton candy and four lollipops.

Dad & Kathy's wedding - Girl's Tea Party

Kathy's friend hosted a Tea Party the day before the wedding.  Dianne & I went with Nora, Fiona, & Cecily and Kathy was there with her Daughers-in-law and granddaughters.

The boys all went to Chuck-E-Cheese, which I can't imagine was nearly as fun as a tea party, but the little ones seemed to have a blast.

Habit Burger

We were out somewhere and the kids wanted to go to Habit for lunch and since feeding the children anywhere other than home is always easier than at home, I went for it.

Visit with Fiona

Fiona hung out with us for the week.  On Monday morning, Cathee came with kids to hang out with us and commented that the bag of clothes they'd brought for Cecily had the same shirt as Fiona had on, so Cecily needed to be twinsies with Fi for the day.

I think Parker took the rest of these...
You never know what you'll find on my phone.

Boss Baby

I took the kids to the Crest to see the Boss Baby

After it was over, the girls were so exhausted I could barely get them home.

Slurpee Day!

It's international Slurpee day (7/11), so we walked to 7-11 for our free slurpee.

Somehow in the chaos of getting three kids in & out of 7-11 without spilling slurpee on the floor, I didn't get one.  Oh well.

After getting slurpees, we walked up to school to play on the playground with some school friends.

This is their preferred method of walking home from school:

We had VBS in the morning, hence Parker & Fiona's matching shirts.  Cecily has yet to wear hers.

Mexico ~ Day 6 ~ The beach

Contrary to how it might appear in these photos, Cecily didn't really care for the beach and we spent about 15 seconds playing in the sand before we headed back to the pool

Parker & Fiona enjoyed it more:

Doesn't she just look THRILLED to be there?

That's better...

It took five days, but I finally got her to go in the pool without me...for about 5 minutes.

...same day, new swimsuit.

Parker would have happily played "bolley-ball" on the beach all afternoon.  I tried to convince him that it's actually "volleyball", but he wouldn't have it.
